How Worthy handles document security and encryption

Last updated: March 23, 2026

When advisors upload sensitive documents like tax returns through Worthy, multiple layers of protection are in place to keep client data secure.

Security measures

  • Secure storage: Documents are encrypted and stored in secure cloud storage, with each client assigned their own unique encryption keys to protect their data

  • AI analysis: Documents are securely transmitted to Claude Sonnet 4.5 on Vertex AI for analysis

  • Data encryption: All extracted data is encrypted using Data Encryption Keys (DEK) from AWS KMS before being stored in our database
