What's Up with Worthy — August 15, 2026

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Welcome to our monthly roundup of new features and product updates. From consolidated brokerage statement support to customizable prompts and a smarter chat, here's what we've shipped since our last update.

We're constantly working to make Worthy smarter, more accurate, and more flexible — and getting input from hundreds of advisors in the process. With that said, every advisor faces unique opportunities and challenges. If there's a feature you'd like to see, or something we could improve, please let us know: hello@withworthy.com.

Consolidated 1099 brokerage statement support

Worthy now extracts data from consolidated 1099 brokerage statements — the multi-section documents your clients receive from custodians like Schwab, Fidelity, and Vanguard. Worthy captures full IRS box-level detail across all sections (1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-B, etc.) and recognizes corrected statements automatically. Consolidated 1099 data is surfaced on the client page alongside other tax documents.

Custom prompts

You can now create your own custom prompts, save them for reuse, and run them with a single click. Build a prompt once — give it a name and the full prompt text — and it's saved under the "Yours" section of the prompt library (the folder icon in the chat), right alongside Worthy's built-in prompts. You can also add your favorites to the three "Suggested Actions" buttons on the new chat page via "Customize cards," so the prompts you run most are always one click away.

Equity: ISO sales tracking

For clients with equity compensation, Worthy now records ISO (Incentive Stock Option) sales against exercised lots. This gives you a clearer picture of your client's realized equity income and its tax impact.

Missing page detection

When a tax return upload is missing pages — for example, a Schedule K-1 that's cut off mid-page — Worthy now flags exactly which pages are missing so you know what to ask the client to resend. No re-upload or re-processing required.

Entity return bundling

When a client uploads an entity return (1065, 1120, 1041), Worthy now breaks out every form within the return individually. Each schedule and attachment is extracted and displayed separately, making it easier to find the specific data you need.

Scan quality warnings

If a client uploads a document that's blurry, low-contrast, or otherwise hard to read, Worthy now flags it with a quality warning. You'll know right away if a rescan would improve extraction accuracy.

Chat improvements

Several updates to make the Worthy AI chat smarter and easier to use:

  • Web-search grounding — Worthy now searches the web in real time to support its answers with current tax law, IRS guidance, and authoritative sources.

  • Suggested actions — You can now author and share your own suggested actions in the chat, making it easy to kick off common queries.

  • Collapsible sources — Web sources behind an AI response are now tucked behind a click-to-expand header, keeping the conversation cleaner.

  • Smarter follow-ups — When Worthy doesn't have enough context to give a confident answer, it now asks clarifying questions rather than making assumptions.

New Notables section

Want to find more in the tax return but aren't sure what to ask? Worthy now scans the entire return and surfaces a few items that are "notable" and worth looking into further — for example, "A tax liability of $9,077 at filing warrants a review of quarterly estimated payments," or "Reported business income of $167,000 presents opportunities to review retirement plan options for self-employed individuals."

Each notable comes with an "Ask Worthy About This" button that turns the finding into a chat prompt, where Worthy digs deeper into the issue and gives you a full debriefing.

We're grateful to have the opportunity to build the best and smartest tax planning platform for professionals like you. The best way to see all this is to log in and use Worthy. There's no setup, so you'll be up and running in minutes.
